After launching their successful electrical business, Clements Electric, in 1994, Sally and Dave Clements retired several years later with their sons Rob and Jason Clements carrying on the legacy. 40

But sitting around in retirement was never an option for the married couple.

So, when asked why they started the tradition of choosing the tree, transporting it to Wenonah Park and heavily decorating it with multicolored lights, the answer was in two parts:

“Downtown had not been lit for how many years until we did it?” Sally said to her husband.
