This Friday, Sid Jacobson JCC hosts its Basketball Hoop-A-Thon to raise funds and awareness for its Randie Waldbaum Malinsky Center for Israel , the only Center of its kind on Long Island, dedicated to strengthening connections to Israel through education, engagement, and direct support of Israeli charities.

With schools closed for the holiday weekend, students across Long Island can attempt 18 free throws each as they fundraise for the Center’s ongoing work. Participants earn prizes in each age category—and the fundraiser who solicits the most donations receives the Grand Prize: a pair of tickets to a New York Knicks home game.
