A chilling scene out of Rio de Janeiro shook us all this week as a routine Copa Libertadores segment turned into an alarming moment for a young reporter. 25-year-old journalist with SportTV and TVGlobo, Duda Dalponte, was covering Flamengo supporters at Galeão Airport when things crossed a line no reporter should ever face.
The Nov. 27 footage showed her head violently snapped backward in the middle of a live hit.
What started as loud, energetic fan chaos quickly shifted into something that was just not okay.
Dalponte later explained on Instagram that she initially assumed the hair-pull was accidental, until it happened again, and then a third time. That’s when concern exploded across the soccer community.
