The Greater Lansing area is expected to see nearly a foot of snow from steady snowfall this weekend as part of the second significant winter storm this week in Michigan.

" This type of storm system can bring a good blanket to the area ," said the Ingham County Emergency Management on Facebook on Nov. 27. "At this time it looks like 3-6 inches is likely, but if the storm keeps on its current path those numbers could bump up a bit yet. Fortunately the timing of the bulk of the snow (Saturday night into early Sunday) is the least impactful, however with many traveling back home for the holidays it will certainly slow driving down."
