Parts of central Wisconsin can expect 6-8 inches of snow from a winter storm expected to start Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
A winter storm watch has been issued for Marathon County and winter storm warnings have been issued for Wood and Portage counties, said Roy Eckberg, National Weather Service meteorologist in Green Bay. Marathon County is expected to see 4-7 inches of snow, while Wood and Portage counties should see from 6-8 inches.
People can expect to see the snow falling in central Wisconsin between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, Eckberg said. The heaviest snow will fall in the afternoon and evening. People should watch for gusty winds toward the end of the storm, causing blowing and drifting snow with slippery spots, Eckberg said.
