DENVER (KKTV) - The driver of a tanker was killed after crashing in Denver Thanksgiving afternoon.
The single-vehicle crash happened just after 1 p.m. at Yale Avenue and I-25 and resulted in a fuel spill underneath the light rail bridge. 11 News sister station CBS Denver says firefighters worked to dam the nearby gutters and storm drains to prevent the fuel from getting into the waterways.
The crash and fuel spill did not impact light rail services.
Denver police said the deceased driver was the only person in the vehicle. They are still investigating what caused the crash.
