These stocks are proven winners in December

Now that December is just around the corner, here is a list of proven winners in the final month of the year. December is historically a strong month for stocks. It's the third-best month of the year for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S & P 500 since 1950, as well as the third-best for the Nasdaq Composite in data going back to 1971, according to the Stock Trader's Almanac. Yet, even with that strong overall performance, some names have a track record of doing even better. The stocks below have the highest average gains for December going back 10 years. Broadcom is one name that surfaced on the list. The semiconductor company has already been on a tear this year, rallying more than 72% year to date. Yet, the historical performance suggests it could be a big winner in December as well
