REPUBLIC, Wash. — One person died in a crash on westbound State Route 20 Friday morning about a mile east of Republic.

In an email, a Washington State Patrol spokesperson said only one car was involved. That car rolled over and was partially blocking traffic in the westbound lanes as of 9 a.m.

The driver was Fay Norris, 78, of Republic. A Washington State Patrol press release shared Friday afternoon said she was going too fast for the road conditions and she wasn't wearing her seatbelt. No one else was in Norris' car.

Her next of kin was told of her death, according to the release.
