A growing concern among diabetics is hearing loss due to blood sugar levels that are either too high or too low.
According to the Journal of Medicine and Life, two-thirds of diabetic adults in the United States suffer from hearing loss, which can limit their ability to effectively communicate.
Dr. Clifford Olson with Applied Hearing Solutions in Phoenix helps to raise awareness with this preventable but permanent condition of diabetes. He has firsthand knowledge of the topic, having a father with these complications.
