CARSON COUNTY, Texas (KFDA) - Texas DPS officials have released new information on the crash near Borger that left one person dead and five others hospitalized.

DPS officials say around 2:25 p.m. Thursday, a 2020 Ford F-350 was driving south on Highway 207 about eight miles south of Borger.

The truck reached a curve in the road and veered into the northbound lane.

DPS officials say a 2005 Ford Expedition with six people was driving northbound in the same curve.

The driver of the Ford Expedition swerved to avoid crashing with the the truck. DPS says the driver overcorrected, resulting in the vehicle rolling over.

Officials say 42-year-old Kristen Chisum-Floyd of Stinnett died at the scene from her injuries.
