TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A repeat shoplifter who allegedly has a history of more than 20 thefts, resulting in losses exceeding $10,000, has been arrested, according to the Tucson Police Department .

TPD said the suspect was identified through surveillance footage and collaboration with local retailers. These efforts led to a positive identification, allowing Tucson Police to build a criminal case.

The suspect was caught and arrested while in the act of attempting another theft, TPD said.

The individual now faces multiple felony charges, including several counts of Organized Retail Theft, Trafficking in Stolen Property and Aggravated Shoplifting.

TPD said it continues efforts to combat retail-related crime.
