An Allentown man who was struck by a tractor trailer last week died five days later, according to the Lehigh County coroner .

Luis A. Cruz, 46, was standing behind a tractor trailer that backed into him at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in the 700 block of West Linden Street in Allentown, according to a news release from the coroner.

Cruz was pronounced dead at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township, the release says.

The cause of death is blunt force injuries, and the manner of death is accidental. The coroner and Allentown Police Department are investigating the crash.
