Weeks after the Northern Nevada girls soccer season ended, London Wood has notched another win.

The Damonte Ranch soccer star was voted Champion Chevrolet Athlete of the Week for girls fall sports, picking up 17,854 of the 35,700 votes cast this week — 50.01% of the total.

Bishop Manogue cross country's Samantha Tolotti was second with 13,953 votes, or 39.08%.

Wood scored four goals during the week of Sept. 22-28, two against Carson on Sept. 23 and then two goals and an assist in a 3-2 win over Galena on Sept 25. Her second goal came with less than five minutes remaining in the game.

Wood will receive a $100 gift card to Scheels, courtesy of Champion Chevrolet.
