ELM MOTT, Texas (KXXV) — One person is dead after a fire in Elm Mott early Friday morning.

According to Elm Mott Fire & Rescue, crews responded to a call for a structure fire on Mazanec Road just after midnight.

Officials say one person died in the fire, and crews were on scene Friday morning working to extinguish the remaining hot spots.
