New footage shows a National Guard member opening fire on Rahmanullah Lakanwal , the Afghan national suspected of ambushing and shooting two other troops in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday (November 26).

Lakanwal, accused in the shooting that killed US. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and left U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe in critical condition, was seen wielding his gun as he fired rounds before a male guard was seen frantically running down the street and frantically attempting to reload his own weapon in live photos obtained by the Wall Street Journal . The photos, which were captured by a witness, also showed the two victims slumped over in the street.

Investigators had already reviewed the footage prior to it being released by the Wall Street Journal . Police
