The father of an 11-year-old boy who died last year after officials said he suffered years of abuse is now being charged with criminal homicide in relation to his son's death.

In a Facebook post from Fayette County Coroner Bob Baker, Kyle Hinkle, 38, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, was arrested Monday and is being charged with third-degree murder and criminal homicide after his son, Leonardo Hinkle, 11, died at a hospital in Fayette County in August 2024.
Baker said Leonardo had been "the victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome at the hands of his father and suffered for years the consequences." An autopsy was conducted, which said Leonardo died as a result of
