When Boston Red Sox pitcher Connelly Early made his MLB debut on September 9, 2025, pretty much everything went great. Well … maybe not according to Alex Bregman.

Early struck out 11 batters in five innings of work against the Athletics, tying the Red Sox record for strikeouts in a rookie debut. But following the performance, Bregman apparently expressed one area of concern in talking to Early, something that the left-hander revealed on Friday while appearing as a guest on the Section 10 podcast
