OREGON, Ill. — A local town has postponed its holiday event ahead of potential severe weather this weekend.

The City of Oregon announced it has postponed its Candlelight Walk until Dec. 6. City Manager Darin DeHaan said they have been working with the Candlelight Walk Committee and have made the decision "due to the pending snowstorm ."

Oregon's Candlelight Walk was originally scheduled for Saturday.

In a press release, the Candlelight Walk announced the new time for the 2025 edition of the holiday event will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 6.

It was said the same schedule of events will be kept next week.
