CANYON LAKE, Texas — Our "Forgotten Friends" series showcases a dog or cat each week that has spent a lengthy time at an area shelter, just waiting for someone to notice them and bring them home to love.
This week’s Forgotten Friend is a friendly 4 1/2-year-old named Kongo, who was surrendered to a shelter in Selma and then pulled by the Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society (CLASS) six months ago when they noticed his potential. He appears to be a Mountain Cur mixed with Labrador, carrying the perfect blend of intelligence, strength, and charm.
Kongo weighs about 66 pounds, with a gorgeous Brindle coat and soulful amber eyes, making him both handsome and loveable.
