DES MOINES, Iowa — The State Historical Society of Iowa and Ancestry.com have completed a significant project, providing public access to millions of archival documents without taxpayer expense.

This two-year partnership resulted in over one million additional records from the State Archives being added to Ancestry's database. Documents now accessible include vital records, state military files, and FM convict registers, offering a deeper look into Iowa's history.
