BILLINGS, Mont. – As families across Montana gathered for Thanksgiving, the Montana Rescue Mission in Billings focused on ensuring that everyone has a place to enjoy a warm holiday meal.

Volunteers dedicated much of their week to preparing traditional Thanksgiving meals to ensure no neighbor in need spends the holiday hungry.

The meal, featuring turkey, stuffing, potatoes and pie, was available for free to anyone in need. More than 30 volunteers of all ages spent the afternoon distributing plates. Shelter Manager Glenn Fournier emphasized the collective effort involved.

"Well, we prepped for 400, a little over 400, and the count right now is close to 300, so we're doing pretty good, actually," Fournier said.
