AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Attend one of Amarillo’s most magical nights of the year. The city is kicking off the Christmas season in grand holiday style with the “Lights, Camera, Christmas!” celebration at the Amarillo Civic Center.
On Saturday, Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. gather your family and friends out front of the Civic Center as the air fills with the sound of cheerful carolers starting at 6:30 p.m.
At 7:00 p.m. is the countdown to light up Amarillo’s official Christmas tree—a sparkling symbol of the season’s joy and community spirit.
After the tree lighting, step inside the Civic Center Auditorium (Entrance 12) for a free screening of The Polar Express beginning at 7:30 p.m. Feel free to wear your coziest Christmas pajamas and bring that holiday excitement as we “ride” the Polar Express
