Section of Highway 23 near Champion has been reopened
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating a Thursday train derailment in Vulcan County.
Canadian Pacific Kansas City said 34 of its cars — including 31 hopper cars carrying grain products and three tanker cars carrying vegetable oil — left the tracks near the village of Champion early Thursday afternoon

No injuries were reported, and no dangerous goods were involved, said a CPKC spokesperson Friday.
The company sent crews and equipment to the scene immediately to the scene to begin clean-up work, said the spokesperson. Track repairs were completed early Friday morning, while cleanup of the derailed cars continued.
