Police officers and the county SWAT team flooded a Cliffside Park neighborhood Friday afternoon, Nov. 28, where an armed man had barricaded himself in a building after a street altercation, authorities said.
The incident began as a street altercation in Fairview, before the man fled the scene and barricaded himself inside his apartment at 257 Walker St., Deputy Fairview Police Chief John Pierrotti said.
In addition to the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, officers from both Cliffside Park and Fairvew also responded. The scene remained active as of press time.
