The Columbiana County community is being reminded by the Columbiana County Auditor's Office that dog licenses officially go on sale starting December 1, 2025.

According to a news release, applications for a one-year, three-year or permanent license were mailed to residents on November 3.

Dog-owning residents must purchase a license for their dog by January 31, 2026, to avoid a penalty of $12.

There are several options of dog licenses for purchase, including:

One-year license for $12

Three-year license for $36

Permanent license for $120

If you have already mailed in your application, the 2026 dog license tag should be mailed on or about December 1.
