CHESTERFIELD, Va. — Black Friday shoppers at Chesterfield Towne Center said crowds were noticeably smaller this year, but deals and the shopping experience remained strong.
Hundreds spent their Black Friday at the mall hoping to score bargains. Many shoppers said they were surprised by the reduced crowds compared to previous years.
“Honestly not that busy, I’ve seen more busier malls than this,” said Eva Robinson. “Compared with a couple years ago, its really less people, people are shopping online,” said Marina Lu.
Kirsten James and Shay Goode said they were pleased with the deals available.
“We were hoping it was like good deals, and they’re great deals,” James said. “We were like is this like an Amazon type black Friday year or a go in the mall type black Friday.”
