NORMAL — The Illinois High School Association has postponed half of its football state championship games because of impending winter storm expected to hit Illinois this weekend and the closure of the Illinois State University campus.

The Class 5A, 6A, 7A, and 8A state championship games scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29 are being postponed, the IHSA wrote in a release . The Class 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A games on Friday remain on as scheduled at Hancock Stadium, on the campus of ISU.
