MADISON (WKOW) — With several inches of snow expected to pile up this weekend, the city of Madison is reminding residents about the rules of snow removal on sidewalks. If you own your home or a business with a public sidewalk, it is your responsibility to keep any sidewalks along the property clear, the city said. If you rent your home, review your lease before the snowfall to determine who is responsible for clearing the sidewalks. According to Madison’s Building Inspection Division, homeowners and businesses must ensure sidewalks are clear by noon the day after a snowfall ends.
