DALLAS — With another Thanksgiving comes another annual edition of the Turkey Awards on Inside Texas Politics.

This year, Jason Whitely is joined by Bud Kennedy from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Ayan Mittra from the Texas Tribune and Ashley Goudeau from KVUE to hand out turkey legs and gizzards to the best and worst in Texas politics in 2025.

Some familiar faces are returning to the table this year, including Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Jasmine Crockett, Beto O'Rourke and Colin Allred.

There are some new faces this year as well, including state Sen. Angela Paxton, state Rep. Gene Wu and Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows. Some non-politicos even get shout-outs as well, like Taylor Sheridan, Billy Bob Thornton and Mark Cuban.
