The creator of Sailor Moon , Naoko Takeuchi, is back with new artwork depicting her iconic team of Sailor Senshi as cheerleaders. While fans might worry that so long away from the iconic heroines would make their return appear awkward, Takeuchi's artwork of the team is seriously impressive.

According to Sailor Moon Fan Network , to celebrate Keio University's Mita-kai Conference, Takeuchi drew a picture depicting Sailor Moon's 5 main Sailor Scouts as cheerleaders. While Sailor Mars, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter are seen wearing traditional cheerleader outfits, Usagi herself has adorned the gaukran or male cheerleader outfit.

All the characters are seen wearing red and blue, matching the school's colors and the Mita-kai's 2025 slogan, "Under the blue, red, and blue!!"
