Detroit police are investigating after a baby was found on the porch of a westside home Thanksgiving night.
Authorities said the child was found around 9:55 p.m. at a house in the 15300 block of Cruse Street, off Fenkell Avenue.
The baby was transported to a local hospital and was in stable condition, Detroit police said Friday afternoon. They did not comment on the child's age or sex, or say how it may have ended up on the porch.
The Detroit Police Department's Child Abuse Unit is probing the incident.
