The North Carolina high school football state playoff semifinals have arrived.

In the NCHSAA's 8A and 1A classifications, Round 4 matchups on Friday, Nov. 28, will decide regional champions. With a state championship appearance on the line, No. 1-seeded Hoggard (12-0) hosts No. 2-seeded Millbrook (12-0) in the 8A East final at Hoggard High School at 7 p.m. Friday.

The Vikings last met the Wildcats in Round 3 of the state playoffs last fall, earning a 28-21 victory. Both teams have dominated this postseason, with Hoggard outscoring opponents 84-14 and Millbrook 92-10.

The top two seeds in the 8A East bracket battle for a trip to a state championship, which Hoggard last played for in 2023. Millbrook has never advanced to a state title game in football.
