MONROE, La. (KNOE) - On Nov 28, 2025, the University of Monroe (ULM) named S.J. Tuohy as their next Director of Athletics.

Tuohy is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Loyola University of Maryland in 2016, where he had played four seasons of basketball. Tuohy earned his master’s degree in humanities from SMU in 2017, where he played one season of football as a member of the special teams unit.

Tuohy began his career in college athletics as director of football operations at Arkansas from 2018-19, and then as assistant athletic director and director of football operations at Liberty University in 2020.

Tuohy joined the UCF football staff in 2021 as director of football operations and was promoted to associate athletics director/chief of staff following the 2021 season.
