SPOKANE, Wash - A Mt. Spokane High School student injured by a suspected drunk driver last week is making strides in the hospital, communicating with his family through hand gestures.

Brody Three Stars' father Rio updated his son's condition, which was posted on an Instagram page Friday.

"He was a passenger in a car that was hit by an impaired driver Saturday, November 22nd. He's been hospitalized with a head injury ever since.

ganizers said Brody is making hand gestures, including making a heart with both hands, thumbs up and peace signs.
