His contributions helped the Washington Township High School football team complete a perfect season in earning its first state football title on Friiday.
Robinson rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on six carries to help lead Washington Township to a 31-12 victory over Passaic Tech in the NJSIAA Group 5 state championship at MetLife Stadium.
Washington Township (14-0) finished with the most wins in school history in earning its first state championship. This is only the fourth year that NJSIAA public school have competed for state titles in football.
For the 5-foot-9, 195-pound Robinson, it was déjà vu from the Washington Township’s 35-27 state Group 5 se
