BEMIDJI — Headwaters Music and Arts will host its monthly Open Mic and Coffee House at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, at 519 Minnesota Ave. NW.
This month's featured performers are Serotiny, northern Minnesota's only women-powered alternative band known for their indie-pop verve and “harmony hugs.”
"With original songs and haunting arrangements, Serotiny has lit up festivals and theaters across the region," a release said, "bringing a fresh and resonant sound to local audiences."
Open Mic and Coffee House is a welcoming, supportive community event for musicians, singers, and spoken-word performers of all ages and skill levels, the release added.
Participants are encouraged to sign up for a 10-minute or two-song set. Performers may register in advance by emailing volunteer coordinator John
