PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) — Black Friday brought shoppers to Pikeville searching for deals and standing on tradition.
When the doors opened at Walmart and Lowe’s at 6 a.m., dozens of shoppers were waiting in line.
“Pretty crazy. I didn’t think there’d be this many people out this early,” said shopper Braxton Blackburn.
Some say it is one of the things they look forward to each year.
“It’s just fun to get out and enjoy you know... we just like that atmosphere you know,” said shopper Jon Blackburn.
With some folks dead set on finding a product, Braxton Blackburn said he was looking for practical items despite the cold weather.
“Pretty cold and I need some WD-40. My tools are rusty; need to be able to spin the adjustable wrench,” he said.
