ITV News has gone down. The network issued a message reading: "Sorry for the disruption."

As the disruption continued, the network instantly started broadcasting a documentary about Sicily, Italy as producers battled to get the news programme back up and running.

It came after tonight's exciting edition of I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here, which saw Alex Scott booted out of the Australian camp . The ITV News was scheduled after the programme, but the continuity into it was hit with a glitch and viewers were left waiting.
