REPUBLIC, Wash. — A 78-year-old Republic woman was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 20, approximately one mile east of Republic, according to the Washington State Patrol.
WSP said the woman, identified as Fay L. Norris, was driving westbound near milepost 303 when she lost control of the vehicle. The SUV left the roadway and rolled, coming to rest off the highway.
Norris, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. Notifications to next of kin were completed by a chaplain, the report said.
Washington State Patrol cited "speed too fast for conditions" as the cause.
No other vehicles were involved.
