INDIANAPOLIS — Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year. Historically, malls are filled by midnight with people looking to score the biggest deals.
However, this year, many say it is pretty calm.
Mia Boltink and Ruby Murphy spent part of their day at Glendale Shopping Center hitting up stores like Target and Old Navy.
"Hopefully get some good deals."
While they found some sales, they say they weren't met with the large crowds.
"Not that much, honestly. Yeah, I think it might be a chill Christmas. Black Friday."
And that echoes what economists say — Black Friday just isn't the same.
"It seems like Black Friday is no longer a Friday, right? It's, it's an entire month, if not a month-and-a-half," Carissa Newton said.
