The Community Foundation of the North State announced its 2025 Animal Welfare Grant recipients, a total of $28,200, for animal care nonprofits across Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama counties.

The grants, sourced from the Animal Welfare Endowment Fund, aim to ensure animals in the region receive necessary care, resources and shelter. The fund addresses several key needs, including support for homeless pets, owned pets whose families face hardship, wildlife conservation, assistance for working animals and disaster preparedness for animals, the foundation announced.

These eight organizations received grants to help fund their general operations.

Haven Humane Society received $5,000

Northstate Cat Coalition received $3,000

RAIN Rescue was given $2,500

Indian Cultural Organization was granted
