LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Downtown Lexington will become a little brighter Sunday at the Annual Holiday Lighting Festival at Triangle Park. Lexington’s Hanukkah menorah will be shining ahead of the festival, and Lexington’s Christmas tree will be lit up by Santa.

The event will feature community choirs and the opportunity to skate at the ice rink beginning at 1 p.m. Live music begins at 3 p.m. The menorah presentation is at 6 p.m., with Santa lighting the tree right after.

Holiday performances

The Nutcracker comes to life this weekend at the Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center. The Ebony Nutcracker will feature Clara and the Prince as they dance through faraway lands filled with culture and rhythm. The performance will feature dance styles from ballet to hip-hop.
