CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A shooting in the nation’s capital on Wednesday killed Sarah Beckstrom, and left another West Virginia National Guard member, Andrew Wolfe, fighting for his life.
“We know that he was in critical condition,” West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey said. “I don’t think that that’s changed, so the one thing we can do sometimes these things take time, and we’re gonna have to be patient and we’re gonna leave the medical prognosis to the doctors.”
Morrisey is in D.C. supporting the families involved at the hospital, all in hopes Staff Sgt. Wolfe can make it through.
“There was a prayer vigil going on and people’s spirits are so high trying to lift up Andrew and praying for Sarah’s soul,” the governor said.
