EastEnders ' Sam Mitchell makes a sensational return to Walford this December, and she's soon up to her old tricks when she rummages around her brother Phil’s house for some cash! It has been announced that Sam's short stint back in Albert Square will see her diagnosed with breast cancer , but she is initially reluctant to tell her family about her health concerns.

When she arrives back home, she heads straight to Phil’s looking for money and gets Nigel Bates embroiled in her scheme . After mistaking Sam for his daughter Clare, Nigel allows her to make off with Phil’s cash.
