PALM DESERT, Calif. — Colorado made sure it was an unfriendly Pac-12 reunion for Washington.
The Buffaloes put together arguably their most complete half of the season in the first 20 minutes, then stood strong at crunch time after a furious Washington rally to post an 81-68 win Friday in the finale of the Acrisure Holiday Classic.
CU (7-0) dominated the first half and led 47-30 at halftime, but the Huskies soon rallied, unleashing a 22-5 run that evened the score at 52-52. But the Buffs answered with a 10-2 burst, with all the points coming from Felix Kossaras and Bangot Dak. The Buffs gradually rebuilt their lead the rest of the way.
Dak, who was named the tournament MVP, recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
