BEAVERTON, Ore. — A Beaverton community gathered at Southridge High School on a rainy Black Friday morning to support Paulino Martin, an undocumented father of three who was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement last week and deported to Mexico, according to his family.

Martin, a licensed handyman and contractor, had lived in Beaverton for more than 30 years. He was stopped and detained by ICE agents while driving to get lunch during his workday, according to his son, Eric Martin.

Within three days, Paulino Martin was moved from a detention facility in Tacoma, Washington, to Arizona and then deported to Mexico, Eric Martin said.
