CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A new city grant program is providing direct financial support to small business owners struggling to maintain and improve their operations.
Dave Bundus, owner of Krusinski’s Market in Slavic Village, received $9,000 from the Steelyard Commons Tax Increment Financing (TIF) grant.
Bundus bought the pierogi business at the beginning of the year from the Krusinski family and is working to make it a community staple.
“It is so tough for all of us. Especially a new business that is struggling. Just trying to see how much I have and what we can afford to do,” Bundus said.
The grant program allows businesses to apply for and receive up to $10,000, according to Grace Harrison, Cleveland’s neighborhood investment manager.
The funding is available for retail-based resta
