The All Saints Weirton Philoptochos Society donated to several Brooke and Hancock county nonprofit agencies throughout the Thanksgiving season, including the Salvation Army. Maj. Eric Roberts accepted the $1,000 donation from Philoptochos President Mary Kohelis. Philoptochos members stated donations were made possible, in large part, because of the generosity of church members who prepared baked goods to sell, along with community residents who support those sales during Thanksgiving and Easter. Money collected through the sales is used to give to those less fortunate.
