The Union Gospel Mission will break ground on its long-anticipated shelter expansion on Tuesday, December 2, at 11:00am, marking a major step toward addressing Chattanooga’s long-standing shortage of shelter beds.
The project at 124 Signal Hills Drive will significantly increase the Mission’s capacity to provide safe, warm shelter and support services for people experiencing homelessness.
Rev. Jon Rector, Executive Director, said, “Our community has needed more shelter beds for far too long. We are thrilled to take this step forward and honored to continue serving those who rely on us for help, hope, and a path forward. We welcome the public to join us as we celebrate this important moment together.”
The public is invited to attend and learn more about the expansion’s vision and impact.
