CENTRAL ILLINOIS ( 25News Now ) — Ahead of the weekend snow, two Central Illinois cities have issued snow route parking bans.
The City of Washington issued an on-street parking ban beginning at 9 p.m. Friday to help snow removal or street treatment with de-icing compounds.
The city said parking bans are issued for 48 hours and may be extended or ended early depending on conditions. Changes will be announced via the city’s social media and news releases.
The City of Bloomington also announced a snow route parking ban, which goes into effect at 11 p.m. Saturday. A citywide parking ban will go into effect at 6 a.m. Nov. 29. That will require all vehicles to be removed from city streets.
“Residents without access to a driveway or alternative off-street parking are welcome to use the lots
